We built Salerna because the women's health technology category has a trust problem. Period-tracking apps have been fined for sharing intimate health data with advertisers. Some cycle apps state in their own terms that they may disclose user data to law enforcement. This page tells you, in plain language, what Salerna does with your data, what we will never do with it, and what rights you have to control it.

The Short Version

  • We collect what we need to generate your training, and nothing more.
  • We never sell your data — not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
  • We never share your cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, or health data with third parties for marketing.
  • We never voluntarily disclose your reproductive health data to law enforcement.
  • You can delete your data at any time. Deletion is real, not a soft archive.
  • You can export your data at any time in a portable format.
  • We do not use AI to build your workouts. The engine is rules-based and deterministic. AI is used only for optional post-workout coaching conversations, which you can opt out of.

Who We Are

Salerna is operated by ZonalFit Technologies Inc., a Delaware C-Corporation. We operate two web properties — this marketing site and the training platform — and this policy covers both.

What We Collect

Account information: email address, a securely hashed password, optional first name, and country (for currency and regional compliance).

Health and training inputs you choose to share: age, lifecycle stage (cycling, pregnant, postpartum, perimenopausal, menopausal), condition flags (PCOS, endometriosis, GLP-1 use, celiac disease, pelvic floor history, injuries), equipment, training experience, and goals. You can decline to share any input — some inputs simply result in more conservative programming if not shared.

Daily check-in inputs: sleep, energy, stress, symptoms, and condition-specific signals used to generate today's session and detect trends over time.

Training history: exercises prescribed, sets, reps, loads, perceived exertion, and session completion, used to progress your programming.

Technical and billing data: device and usage analytics for operating the platform and detecting security issues; billing data processed by Stripe, which we never store directly.

Why We Collect It

Each category of data is used to deliver the platform, bill you, support you, and improve the product — nothing else. We do not use your data for advertising, to train AI models, or share it with partners for their own purposes.

Who Inside Salerna Has Access

Access is restricted by role. Engineering accesses individual data only when investigating a specific support ticket or incident. Support accesses your account only to resolve your issue. Leadership and product see only aggregated, de-identified statistics. Advisors and contractors have no routine access to individual user data. Everyone with access is bound by written confidentiality agreements.

Service Providers

We use a small set of contractually limited service providers to operate the platform: Stripe (payments), our hosting and database providers (application and data hosting), SendGrid (transactional email), Sentry (error monitoring), and — only when you opt in to post-workout coaching — OpenAI, under terms that prohibit using your content to train their models. None of our providers may use your data for their own purposes.

What We Never Do With Your Data

  • We never sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, insurers, or pharmaceutical companies.
  • We never share cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, or condition data with third parties for marketing.
  • We never use your data to train AI models, for Salerna or anyone else.
  • We never run targeted advertising inside the platform.
  • We never share your data with your employer or insurer without your explicit, separate written consent.
  • We never voluntarily disclose your reproductive health data to law enforcement.

Post-Roe Reproductive Health Protections

Reproductive health data — cycle, pregnancy, pregnancy loss, and postpartum status — carries legal risk that didn't exist before the 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson decision. This data is never voluntarily disclosed to any third party, is encrypted in transit and at rest, and can be deleted by you at any time, with deletion propagating through backups within 30 days. You can also choose not to share this data at all; the platform operates with reduced programming specificity without it. We resist subpoenas, warrants, and other law enforcement demands to the maximum extent permitted by law, and we notify you of any such demand unless legally prohibited from doing so.

Law Enforcement Requests

We do not provide data based on informal requests. Every formal legal demand is evaluated for sufficiency and overbreadth, and we push back on demands that aren't narrowly tailored. We engage outside counsel where a demand involves reproductive health data, and we produce only the specific data legally required — nothing more.

University Research Access

If we ever offer participation in university research, it will require separate, explicit opt-in consent, be limited to accredited academic institutions with IRB approval, use only de-identified aggregated data, and remain revocable by you at any time. We have not yet offered this.

Cookies and Analytics

This marketing site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages visitors read, limited to anonymized page views and country-level location. We do not enable Google Analytics on the training platform itself, and we do not run Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other advertising or remarketing trackers on either property.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Account information and health/training inputs are retained while your account is active, then deleted within 30 days of account deletion, including from backups. Billing records are retained as required by tax law, then deleted. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
